UX Sales is a next generation sales consultancy. What does that even mean? 

It combines the steep experience and expertise of tried and tested traditional sales approaches, models and methodologies, layered with a human-centric, design thinking, user experience (UX) lens.

Why do we exist?

Our mission is to transform sales by stripping back all of the complexity and barriers sellers often self impose and instead focus on putting the human back at the center of it all. This will enable more successful sellers and highly satisfied buyers.  

Our founder, Chris Kakkoufa, with over 20 years’ in professional services sales, saw time and time again how sales people treat opportunities as a process and a means to an end, often driven exclusively by internal revenue targets. He learnt, that when we got it right for the client, it was all about truly putting the client, and specifically the people we were striving to serve, at the centre of our efforts.

Many sellers acknowledge this is the right approach but struggle to execute against that belief - there are a multitude of reasons why that happens!

What is this “UX” thing anyway?

UX sales is the practice of optimizing the user experience (UX) of a business's products and services resulting in higher sales conversion and higher buyer satisfaction levels.

It is driven by:

  • Understanding the target audience - UX sales involves understanding the needs of potential customers, their preferred communication style, what motives them and what might be at stake for them 

  • Making the user journey smooth - UX sales aims to make the user's experience fun, fulfilling, and productive, NOT to be on the receiving end of yet another vanilla, predictable professional services engagement

Still a bit vague. Can you make it a bit more relatable?

Sure. We at UX Sales place your clients at the heart of every experience. This is because we believe, as well as the rational and objective buying process buyers go through, clients rely (to varying degrees) on their emotional intelligence, human connection and gut feeling. They don’t simply buy a product or service exclusively, but an experience. They want to be energised, inspired and to work with people who can breathe life into everything they do. 

What does that mean in practice? 

  • Starting not only early, but very early in the sales process, to establish and develop client relationships with a design thinking and agile approach to strategy, planning and tactics 

  • It means not only waiting and responding to clients and their opportunities – but you, identifying and driving change for your clients, helping them reach their potential by evolving in a way they don’t yet know is possible 

  • It means not being driven by this quarters sales target but instead motivated to true solution design, real results and long term trusting relationships  

  • It means standing out from competitors because you won’t be simply going through a buying process, you will be taking them through a positive and engaging experience
